"Bringing test specifications into industry!..."

The ACATS FORUM provides to members reference test suites together with validation status and documentation.  For each test suite there is an ACATS coordinator.  The ACATS FORUM is available for all participants to exchange information on the test scenarios and test purposes.

Participants report modifications for specific test suites to the designated ACATS co-ordinator, who integrates changes into the master version of the test suites.   These are redistributed by the ACATS FORUM to the registered participants, who benefit from the experience of other users.

The ACATS FORUM is an industry oriented initiative to establish reference conformance test suites according to national and international test requirements.  It is supported as a Thematic Network within the context of the IST Programme of the European Commission, under the project name ATS Network.

The forum offers special access to:

• Services
• Technical Support

In this sense the forum is a platform to collect feedback about the test suite quality and to distribute the current status of the reference test suites.  To support this process, members are requested to provide relevant feedback to the forum, for example concerning ambiguous test purposes, incorrect test scenarios and protocol specific or system specific problems.

The latest status of the reference test suites is available to member organisations to validate telecoms equipment for compliance to signalling standards.  The test suites can also be used for interworking and compatibility tests.
